Compound Cleaning Weekend 29th/30th March
Alan Welman is preparing a work list for the compound clean up weekend at the end of March. In order to make efficient use of our resources Alan would like to allocate jobs in advance. Would you please contact Alan by E-mail: alan.pmg@virgin.net and let him know your availability either Saturday or Sunday and your diy skills. Types of skills he is looking for are; painting, carpentry, roof repair, gardening/pruning, plumbing, cleaning or just assisting.
Last year we had a very poor turn out on the Sunday so please let Alan know which day you can make. Do not forget it is your opportunity to help the sailing club look shipshape for the coming season.
Safety Boat Rota
Rob Driver is planning to issue the safety boat rota well before the season starts. He has selected OOD’s from his work last year and if you were at the AGM you had the opportunity to see the list and select your best days for duty. If you get your membership forms in before the end of January you may stand a chance of getting the dates you selected.
I am looking at different options for training this year and will let you have some details hopefully in the next mainsheet.
Kiosk
As I mentioned last month, having not renewed the lease with Robin, Phil Steel and Jane How have formally taken over the kiosk lease with effect from 1st January 2008. Phil and Jane are doing some internal refurbishment work, but should be open for business by the start of the season.
